Goldseekr alternative twist lock replacement to suite classic SD, GP and GPX series machines. Replaces Minelab part number 8008-0002.
Remove old fitting.
The assembly has been fixed in place with adhesive. Heat may be helpful to loosen the bond and pry the part from the upper shaft tube.
Prepare surface.
The new part is a firm fit – ensure surface is smooth and free from dust, grime and loose paint.
Fitting the new twist lock.
1. Dry fit the parts before gluing.
2. We recommend this adhesive:
Loctite 2-Part all Plastic Superglue.
3. Clean upper shaft with Isopropyl alcohol or similar and follow instructions for gluing as per the Loctite product steps.
