The uptick in folks getting out for a swing with their new Gold Monster 2000 has sparked a cry for improvements to the telescopic joiners.
Lower shafts and coils rotating 360˚. Wet and worn cam locks collapsing under a little extra weight – people have asked for something better.
To find a solution, I looked at what has proven itself over time. No high-tech levers or metal-pinned roller latches. I just wanted to keep it simple; and here we are – the humble and somewhat ‘Retro style’ Push-pin and cone-shaped collet.
When used in combination, they deliver the double-locking results we seek in set-and-forget shaft adjustment.
It’s a tried and trusted simple combination that translates into field-use reliability.
